Job Title:Assistant Accountant PART TIME
Location:Hybrid working - based in Camberley
Employment Type:Part-time, Permanent (approx. 24 hours per week)Some flexibility on hours and days, but Monday working is essential.
Role Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support financial operations and deliver accurate reporting to management. The position offers hybrid working and opportunities for professional development.Preferred Qualification:

• AAT Level 3 (or equivalent experience)

Key Responsibilities:Weekly:

• Maintain purchase ledger and produce weekly creditors and bank reconciliation reports
• Process Accounts Payable invoices with accurate project allocation

Monthly:

• Import sales invoice data into Sage 50
• Reconcile multiple bank accounts
• Complete month-end accounts (including stock journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets)
• Deliver monthly/YTD P&L and EBITDA insights with variance analysis commentary
• Update and distribute monthly KPIs
• Run payroll via Sage 50 Payroll (including FPS/NEST submissions)
• Prepare cash flow and sales forecasts
• Manage order book reporting
• Complete statutory returns and surveys as required

Ad hoc:

• Provide analytical and financial reporting support
• Liaise with external accountants for statutory submissions

Skills & Attributes:

• Strong knowledge of Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll
• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and data transformation
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
