The Role:

The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in guiding the financial direction of the business during an exciting period of expansion. You will take full responsibility for the company’s financial operations, ensuring that reporting, processes, and controls are robust, efficient, and aligned with the organisation’s long-term strategy.

Working as a key member of the senior leadership team, you’ll provide the financial insight needed to support operational decisions, improve profitability, and enhance overall business performance. This is a hands-on role that blends strategic input with day-to-day financial oversight, offering the opportunity to make a visible impact across the organisation.

Duties include:

• Oversee the full finance function, managing and developing the finance team
• Deliver accurate monthly management accounts and insightful financial reporting
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cashflow planning, and variance analysis
• Enhance financial controls, systems, and policies to support scalable growth
• Manage statutory reporting, tax compliance, and audit processes
• Provide financial input into tenders, project performance, and margin analysis
• Act as a strategic partner to directors, advising on investment, risk, and growth opportunities
• Drive improvements in financial systems and digitalisation where appropriate

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• A proactive communicator who enjoys challenging assumptions and driving improvements
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business environment
