We are seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join a PE Backed business based in the Manchester area. The ideal candidate will likely be someone who has gained a qualification in an accountancy practice and looking to make their first move to industry.

Description

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy in reporting.
• Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments, including utilities, to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
• Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis, particularly in the property industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
