Client Accountant - Growing Accountancy Practice
Berkhamsted
£32,000 - £38,500 (DOE)

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be partnering with a highly reputable and people-focused accountancy firm based in Berkhamsted, who are now seeking an experienced Client Accountant to join their collaborative and well-established team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage your own portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors
  • Prepare year-end accounts, personal tax returns, and VAT returns
  • Support clients using modern cloud software, primarily Engager, Xero and TaxCalc
  • Optional involvement in CIS returns, P11Ds and bookkeeping
  • Deliver a high-quality, professional service and build strong client relationships
  • Work closely with the wider team to contribute to a positive, collaborative culture

(Note: no audit work; payroll handled separately.)

Key Requirements

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred)
  • Experience managing your own client portfolio in practice
  • Strong technical grounding across accounts and tax
  • Confident using cloud-based accounting tools
  • A team-player with excellent communication skills
  • Organised, proactive, and committed to delivering great client service
