Interim Year-End Accountant in Croydon - Ivy Rock Partners Ltd

We are excited to be supporting an outstanding education organisation in recruiting an Interim Project Accountant to support the audit preparation and year-end activities. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running and add value quickly.

You must have experience in one of the following:

• Working within an Academy Trust, School, or College finance team, OR
• Auditing Academy Trusts or Schools

Focus of the role:

You’ll play a hands-on role in preparing for year-end and supporting statutory reporting requirements. Experience assisting with external audits and year-end processes is crucial.

Typical responsibilities will include:

Financial compliance and reporting

You’ll help ensure statutory returns are completed accurately and on time, including:

• Supporting preparation of the annual report and financial statements
• Assisting with the completion of the Accounts Return
• Ensuring audited accounts are ready for filing with Companies House within the statutory deadline.
• Helping collate and prepare the annual summary report to accompany the audited accounts.
• Ensuring audited financial statements are ready for publication on the organisation’s website ahead of the required deadline.

We are looking for:

• Proven experience assisting with year-end close and audit preparation
• Strong understanding of academy trust or education finance requirements
• Confidence working proactively and independently to pick things up quickly
• Ability to support a busy finance team and add immediate value
