Our Platform as a Service (PaaS) team holds a pivotal position in shaping the future of our platform services in VM's Technology Estate, defining, and executing the strategic vision for our PaaS offerings, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and innovation in our platform services.
As part of PaaS Windows Server Team, this role will collaborate with technology and project teams to ensure that change within our environment is managed effectively.The core aspect of your role will cover the 3rd line support of Microsoft Active Directory which is at the heart of the enterprise services delivered by Virgin Money to internal and external customers.
A deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) is key. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring, managing and troubleshooting all aspects of AD including knowledge of best practice recovery processes from multiple disaster recovery scenarios.
You will also support and manage the Windows Server Physical and Virtual Infrastructure. Vulnerability Management, Security update scheduling, GPO and deployment of updates to the Windows server estate is a key part of the role, so experience in this area is expected.
Alongside support requirements, you will work as part of larger project delivery teams, to deliver new services and enhance existing services. Your role will span across the entire project lifecycle including (but not be limited to) design influence, infrastructure build, test environment support and implementation deliverables and support.
