Job Description

Robert Half is partnering with a leading investment and infrastructure management firm in Glasgow to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a purpose-driven organisation that delivers long-term value across sectors including transport, energy, health, and social infrastructure.

You'll take ownership of financial reporting and compliance across a diverse portfolio of companies, while also playing a strategic role in performance analysis, stakeholder engagement, and mentoring junior team members.

Financial Reporting & Control

  • Lead monthly and quarterly close processes across multiple entities.
  • Prepare and review management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
  • Oversee statutory accounts, consolidations, VAT submissions, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Maintain accruals, prepayments, and loan schedules.

Strategic Insight & Business Partnering

  • Deliver high-quality reporting using Power BI and other tools.
  • Present financial performance insights to shareholders and project boards.
  • Collaborate with technical and operational teams to align financial strategy with business goals.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with local GAAP and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Liaise with auditors and tax advisers during year-end and corporation tax processes.
  • Track deliverables tied to loan facility agreements and ensure financial integrity.

Process Improvement & Transformation

  • Enhance internal controls and support finance transformation initiatives.
  • Drive automation and system upgrades to improve reporting efficiency.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Supervise junior team members and promote a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Oversee invoice processing, cash book maintenance, and customer billing.

About you:

  • CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong technical accounting skills.
  • Experience in asset management, infrastructure, or project finance is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and debt/lender reporting experience desirable.
  • Excellent communicator with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
  • Comfortable working independently and engaging with senior stakeholders.
