Warehouse Operative – Tamworth

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join our well-established client based in Tamworth during their busy peak period.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent hourly rates, weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for long term work.

Shifts:

• Working days/nights between Monday to Sunday
• Weekdays: 12:30PM – 10:30PM
• Weekends: 12:00PM – 21:30PM
• Shifts in peak from 18th December to 24th December will be:
• AM – 6AM TO 4PM
• PM – 4.30PM - 2.30AM

Pay rates:

• £13.29 per hour until 11pm
• £17.27 per hour after 11pm

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as a warehouse operative will be:

• Picking and packing customer orders accurately and efficiently, including gift vouchers, card, balloons, personalised mugs
• Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining accurate records
• Preparing, labelling, and packaging items for dispatch
• Moving and organising stock safely within the warehouse
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Using handheld scanners and other warehouse equipment as required
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Meeting daily performance and KPI targets
• You must be comfortable handling packaged alcohol

Essential Skills:

The skills needed to be a Warehouse Operative are:

• Basic level of English (spoken and written)
• Reliable with good timekeeping
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
• Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude
• You must pass a basic English and numeracy test
• You must be able to prove your right to work in the UK

Desirable Experience:

• Previous warehouse or packing experience
• Experience using handheld scanners or similar warehouse technology

Training:

• Full training provided with ongoing support and development
