Legal Disrepair Manager in London - Goodman Masson

I am working in partnership with a highly respected London-based Housing Association to recruit an experienced Legal Disrepair Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that is committed to delivering high-quality homes and services for its residents.

This role would suit a candidate with strong housing litigation, disrepair, or property legal management experience who is looking to take ownership of a vital function and drive continuous improvement.

As the Legal Disrepair Manager, you will lead the organisation’s response to legal disrepair and property condition claims, ensuring all cases are handled efficiently, fairly, and in accordance with relevant legislation and best practice.

You will work closely with solicitors, surveyors, and internal teams to ensure effective resolution and to minimise future liability.

• Manage all legal disrepair and housing condition claims from receipt to resolution.

• Provide clear leadership and guidance to a small team of officers.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders and external solicitors to ensure robust case management.

• Oversee reporting, trend analysis, and performance monitoring.

• Develop and implement processes to reduce disrepair cases and improve outcomes for residents.

• Proven experience managing legal disrepair cases within a housing association, local authority, or legal environment.

• Strong understanding of housing law, disrepair protocols, and landlord responsibilities.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Highly organised, analytical, and proactive in approach.

• Able to lead by example and influence positive change across the organisation.

• Salary up to £65,000 per annum
