About the Business

A market-leading international group with a strong UK presence is seeking an experienced finance professional to join as Head of Accounting on a 12 to 15 month fixed term contract. The business operates in a technically driven, service-led environment and is known for its high standards, strong culture, and long-term partnerships.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the CFO, this role will lead the accounting and control function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while driving process improvement across core finance operations. The position will suit a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to manage a capable team through a period of change and development.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of financial control, reporting, and consolidation
• Manage and develop a small finance team covering accounting, treasury, and compliance
• Strengthen internal controls and governance frameworks
• Lead month-end, year-end, and audit activities
• Support group reporting and system enhancements
• Identify process improvements and efficiency opportunities

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Strong technical accounting background with group reporting exposure
• Experience within a complex, multi-entity or international business
• Excellent communicator with a collaborative leadership style
• Comfortable working both strategically and operationally
