Mondrian Alpha are working with a recently launched hedge fund (they are very well funded with committed capital expected to double AUM over the next 12 months). As a result, they are hiring a Senior Fund Controller to lead the fund finance function. This is a broad, high-exposure role looking for someone take ownership while helping to build scalable infrastructure.
This position will report directly to a high-calibre COO and collaborate closely with senior leadership. You will own end-to-end fund finance, covering NAV production, daily/monthly P&L, valuations and fee calculations, delivering accurate, timely reporting for the COO and investors. You will lead communication with the fund administrator and other third parties (audit, tax, depositary). You will also help design and automate the finance framework by selecting and implementing systems, enhancing policies, and standardising processes, data flows and dashboards. In doing this, you will partner closely with the CIO/COO and front-to-back teams on new products, trading initiatives and regulatory obligations.
We are looking to speak with qualified accountants with 5+ years’ post-qualification experience, ideally gained within the hedge-fund space. Candidates must have strong valuations/NAV knowledge, high-level analytical ability and a control-focused mindset, plus the adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
