New Business Account Executive – Lutterworth, Leicestershire – £38,000–£58,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits
Carlton Young is delighted to be supporting an ambitious insurance brokerage with the appointment of a New Business Account Executive in Lutterworth. This role is perfect for someone with commercial insurance experience who has a passion for winning new business and building strong long-term client relationships. With dedicated broking support and claims teams behind you, you’ll be able to focus on developing your own portfolio and driving continued growth.
In this role, you’ll develop your own pipeline of new clients, provide expert advice on commercial insurance needs, and ensure clients are supported through quotation and renewal stages. You’ll also work closely with internal teams to ensure documentation and processes are handled efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
• Build and manage a pipeline of new business and introducers.
• Advise clients on new business quotations and recommend appropriate coverage.
• Help clients expand their insurance solutions to ensure full protection.
• Work closely with support teams to ensure accurate documentation and compliance.
• Negotiate with underwriters to secure strong terms.
• Maintain professionalism, timeliness and compliance across all cases.
• Support retention activity and meet income and retention targets.
• Contribute to team and business objectives.
Skills & Experience
• Commercial insurance broking experience with exposure to new business generation.
• Excellent verbal, written and digital communication skills.
• Confident negotiator with strong influencing and stakeholder management.
• Good IT and broking platform skills.
• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Full UK driving licence.
