Morgan McKinley are partnered with a leading retail business in London who are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support during a busy period of audit and operational change.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced interim role suited to someone who thrives in a commercial retail environment and can hit the ground running.

This role is paying £400 a day inside IR35 with hybrid working available.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the year-end audit process, liaising with external auditors and internal teams to ensure deadlines are met
• Oversee high-volume transactional operations and month-end close
• Maintain compliance with IFRS standards, with particular emphasis on IFRS 16 (leases)
• Manage and reconcile inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy and integrity across multiple sites
• Produce and review balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and P&L analysis
• Partner with operational teams to deliver financial insight and challenge where needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency across finance operations

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or ACA) - essential
• Minimum 3 years' experience in the retail sector (multi-site or high-volume environment preferred)
• Strong technical understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting
• Experience leading audits and working closely with auditors
• Confident working independently in a dynamic and fast-moving environment
• Strong Excel and ERP systems experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite or similar)
