Leading Media company is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. Based in London, this is a 12 month contract role and offers hybrid working 3 days in the office.
Leading Media company is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. Based in London, this is a 12 month contract role and offers hybrid working 3 days in the office.
As Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:
- Preparing annual statutory accounts
- Liaising with external auditors and dealing with audit queries
- Coordinating quarterly SOX testing
- Identifying any control risks and implementing required solutions
- Ensuring monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and to month end timetable
- Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing monthly reports to aid decision making
- Managing and coaching finance staff
- Ad hoc tasks as required
The candidate:
- Practice trained accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Technically strong accounting skills including IFRS and US Gaap
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a high performing team
- Advanced IT skills
