Leading Media company is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. Based in London, this is a 12 month contract role and offers hybrid working 3 days in the office.

Leading Media company is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. Based in London, this is a 12 month contract role and offers hybrid working 3 days in the office.

As Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing annual statutory accounts
• Liaising with external auditors and dealing with audit queries
• Coordinating quarterly SOX testing
• Identifying any control risks and implementing required solutions
• Ensuring monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and to month end timetable
• Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Providing monthly reports to aid decision making
• Managing and coaching finance staff
• Ad hoc tasks as required

The candidate:

• Practice trained accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
• Technically strong accounting skills including IFRS and US Gaap
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
• Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a high performing team
• Advanced IT skills
