Financial Controller in London - Robert Half

This newly created Financial Controller role for a Growing Fintech/payment firm paying £75,000 to £85,000 depending on experience with a Discretionary bonus, based in Heart of the City on a Permanent basis and operate 2 days in the office policy.

Role

As an Financial Controller, you will work closely with the Head of Finance who is all about internal growth and development. Please find a brief outline of the role below:

• Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet analyses for group entities, including overseas subsidiaries.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews, including prepayments, accruals, fixed assets, and inventory.
• Support with monthly consolidated Group report, including management accounts commentary and analysis
• Perform client money bank reconciliations across systems
• Analyse monthly fee revenue, ensuring correct split between UK and EU acquiring entities.
• Prepare and submit annual and quarterly FCA returns.
• Assist in preparing Group Consolidated Financial Statements under IFRS, including notes and disclosures.
• Support external audits and FCA safeguarding audits.
• Prepare IFRS-related workings
• Coordinate with local accountants to prepare international subsidiary accounts.
• Key role in upcoming system implementation
• Prepare bespoke analyses and reports for senior management.
• Support automation initiatives and participate in finance process redesign projects.
• Coordinate with tax advisors on corporation tax, VAT, and transfer pricing compliance.
• Ensuring the internal controls and processes remain fit for purpose, driving change where required

Profile

The Financial Controller for this Fintech/payment firm is ideally for the below

• An Audit Trained Accountant
• At least 2 years' post qualification experience working in a similar role
• Strong Experience with IFRS, Month end closing and Consolidations
• Nice to have experience with Sage Intact

Salary & Benefits

Salary is bench marked £75,000 to £85,000 on experience.
