1:1 Learning Support Assistant for our Year 1 Class

About the role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Bristol, City of. The successful candidate will be working as an Learning Support Assistant for a Year 1 class, supporting the teacher and providing individualised assistance to students with special educational needs.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school

- Knowledge of SEN strategies and experience supporting children with special educational needs

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions from the class teacher

- A patient and understanding approach towards children with diverse learning needs

- A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Qualifications:

- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)

- Additional qualifications in Special Educational Needs (desirable)
