Your new company is a privately owned BuildingServices Consultancy that is seeking for a Graduate Electrical Design Engineerbased within Nottingham due to the growth of the team.
Your new role
As a GraduateElectrical Design Engineer, you will work alongside our mechanical andelectrical building services Design Engineers and Revit Technicians as part ofa multi discipline team producing detailed, complex and sustainable buildingservices designs in both a 2D and 3D environment.
You will be workingalongside our other electrical designers on a wide range of projects acrossvarious sectors, delivering services from feasibility through to a detailed andfully coordinated design for installation purposes - RIBA Stages 0 to 5.
A primary focus of therole will HV network design and managing utility services applications, but youwill also assist with the design of all electrical building services such as LVdistribution, lighting, small power and fire and security systems.
Training will beprovided for design software packages including ETAP, AMTEC and Relux for thedesign of HV, LV and lighting systems respectively.
Duties Will Include
Designing, sizing and selecting electrical systems using various calculation software packages
Implementing sustainable technologies into the electrical design
Production of three-dimensional models, drawings, specifications and reports
Preparing load calculations and applying for utility connections
Coordinating design with colleagues from other disciplines
Referring to industry design guides, British Standards and Building Regulations
Attend client, design team and project meetings
Undertake feasibility studies and surveysYou may need toundertake other duties as may be required to achieve objectives.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree in electrical and electronic engineering or equivalent
Confident with Microsoft Office, predominately Word, Excel, and Outlook
Willingness and ability to use design software, ETAP, AMTEC, Relux, Revit, AutoCADWhat you'll get in return
Salary of up to £27,000 per annum PLUS;
25 days annual leave + 8 days bank holiday
Training will be provided 'in house' supported by our experienced design engineers
Support and mentoring will be provided to obtain professional membership (CIBSE)
