Location: Northampton, Primary Special School

Contract Type: Ad-Hoc Supply Basis

About Us: We are a primary special school located in the heart of Northampton, dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for children aged 4 to 11. Our school caters to students with severe or profound learning difficulties, communication and physical challenges, as well as those on the autistic spectrum. Additionally, some of our students may have multi-sensory impairment and complex medical difficulties. Situated in spacious, well-maintained grounds, we are committed to fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for both our students and staff.

Role Overview: We are seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Ad-Hoc Supply Teaching Assistants. As a supply teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of our students, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. The role will involve working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to provide tailored support for children with a range of learning and developmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and group support to students with severe or profound learning difficulties.
Assist in the implementation of individualized education and therapy plans.
Support students in developing communication and social skills.
Assist with personal care and medical needs as required.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.Requirements:

Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
Understanding of the challenges faced by students with severe or profound learning difficulties, autism, and other complex needs.
Flexibility and availability for ad-hoc supply work.
