An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled PMO Manager to join our Planning and PMO team for up to 12 months, covering maternity leave. This role will be responsible for ensuring our Strategic Portfolio is effectively managed in accordance with the defined methodology to deliver the portfolio benefits on time, to budget and to the specified quality.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and co-ordination of our Strategic Portfolio, including finances, reporting, risk and issue management, recruitment and portfolio wide planning. In conjunction with the Portfolio Manager, the role supports delivery to time, cost and quality, across all the projects and programmes within the portfolio. You will also contribute to the ongoing development of PMO processes, standards and best practice.

About you

Our ideal candidate for the role of PMO Manager will be someone who is highly organised, has a strong attention to detail, works effectively on their own initiative and can engage well with others and influence them effectively to deliver what is required.

You should also have:

- APM, P30, MSP or equivalent project management qualification.
- Established track record in programme and/or portfolio level PMO roles.
- Strong knowledge of portfolio, programme and project governance processes.
- Experience of having developed new governance processes and the supporting toolset.
- Experience of the full project lifecycle.
- Strong capability in the use of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel.
