Join us as a Business Development Manager
Take on a leading role in our department and build and manage business partnerships for new business opportunities
You’ll be managing the development and implementation of business development strategies as part of the bank’s overall growth strategy, linking across key departments as a focal point for new business
We’ll provide you with a platform to build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, business partners, gaining exposure across the bank and externally
What you'll do
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be monitoring and analysing the marketplace in the industry, and participating in sales strategies and policies. You’ll also be generating and facilitating the total solution of business developments and continuous growth within the bank.
You’ll be communicating any changes in criteria or product in a timely manner to the external market, as well as escalating feedback to the management team for action and supporting the improvement of our customer journey. You’ll also maintain a strong knowledge and awareness of our products and proposition.
In the course of your work, you’ll be:
Achieving budgeted income, switcher and integrated sales targets, and contributing to the achievement of divisional financial targets
Acting visibly in the market place, attending customer and intermediary networking events
Converting internal and external lead sources to create new business opportunities and acquire new customers
Fulfilling sales requests, offering expert knowledge of customer solutions
Taking customers through the account opening process and handling initial new business set up queries, then transitioning customers to the most appropriate service option for account opening fulfilment
Collaborating with business partners to identify customer needs and achieve cross sales in key product areas
The skills you'll need:
We’re looking for an innovative thinker, with the ability to motivate others. You’ll also bring banking and business lending experience, with a track record of business development in the small and medium-sized enterprises arena.
Additionally, you’ll have:
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication and team working skills
Problem solving skills
