Job Description

PSR are currently recruiting for an Site Manager in Wiltshire, which will be worth for a Rail/Civils Contractor on a Railway project with Civils elements involved, such as trackside civils, earthworks and drainage

As the Rail Site Manager your responsibilities will be:

Contribute to Plan development with the Construction Manager and Works Manager
Organise suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan
Plan day to day requirements of the Project works Package to produce effective use of all resources to minimise snagging
Carry out team briefing/debriefing of plan and task requirements, ensuring lines of command are clear
Ensure correct positioning/sequencing of plant and equipment for optimum use by on-site teams & personnel
Enact plan requirements, monitor site circumstances, conduct risk assessments, re-plan work to optimise output
Identify potential contract variations to Construction Manager and PM
Control and implement health, safety, quality and environmental requirements, supported by full briefingYour experience:

Proven ability and experience delivering multiple concurrent Civil Engineering projects within a Rail environment, with an ability to manage rail projects.
Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without compromising on standards and quality
Ability to develop friendly and professional customer focused relations with others; Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook
Experience delivering projects using Network Rail suite of contracts and NEC3/4
Excellent working knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations, Network Rail standards and relevant industry regulations
Able to challenge designs, resolve problems and produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
Ability to assess and adequately mitigate all risks including those associated with working within the railway environment
Previous experience in assisting with the tendering process would be desirableEssential Criteria:

NVQ 6+, HNC/HND or a Related Degree
Personal Track Safety (PTS) - Minimum
Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) - Minimum
Chartered membership (ICE or CIOB) - Desirable
Contractors Responsible Engineer - Desirable
Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) - Desirable
