Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for driving positive change within the supply chain?

Our client is looking for a Commodity Manager to own and manage commodity groups of products, including the sourcing of materials, negotiation, and management of commercial contracts.

You’ll work closely with various teams across the business to ensure cost-efficiency and supply chain optimisation.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and execute commodity strategies (global and local)

* Negotiate and create Long Term Supplier Agreements focused on Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCD) performance targets

* Improve supplier payment terms and leverage suppliers in a small/medium volume business

* Issue RFQs and manage supplier performance through QBRs

* Identify and mitigate supplier risk, while fostering ‘Best Practice’ initiatives across the supply chain

Key Requirements:

* Educated to Degree level / CIPS qualified

* 5+ years of experience in a commodity management structure

* Demonstrated track record in cost savings and price reduction initiatives

* Complex project environment experience, ERP/MRP systems experience (Syteline/INFOR preferred)

* Strong negotiation and communication skills with a results-driven attitude
