Job Description

Swift Placements are seeking a dynamic and experienced Client Manager (Accountant) to join our client's team. Our client are a rapidly growing and dynamic Accountancy Practice offering endless opportunities to learn and grow within your career.

The Senior Client Managers are focused on delivering an exceptional client experience. Their role is to lead a team who form trusting relationships with a portfolio of inspiring small business clients and ensure that their every accounting need is anticipated and provided for. They are in a position to make a real impact on the client businesses they support and take a nothing is too much trouble attitude when providing both advisory and accountancy services.

Duties

* To prepare, send and submit accounts & tax returns for our clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.

* To communicate with clients via phone, email, social media and in person, including chasing records.

* To hold client meetings independently.

* To onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio – this will include bookkeeping, compliance etc to then be handed over to the relevant department.

* To assess and advise clients on their tax position. To optimise and plan the tax efficiency of clients.

* To complete, review and prepare book-keeping, VAT returns and CIS.

* To maintain electronic filing of books and records both internally as well as management of client administration and records.

* To identify and provide Advisory Services for our clients.

* To act as liaison between clients and HM Revenue & Customs to deal with and resolve queries.

* To participate in activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.

* To manage and maintain your professional development and learning including any relevant CPD required by your professional body.

* To ensure and update HMRC/Companies House statutory information is accurate.

* To attend networking events where required.

* To prepare and execute year end client meetings.

* Internal and external training e.g., client bookkeeping training and as applicable as per our company values.

* To carry out client fee reviews.

* To attend training and development deemed necessary for the post in agreement with the line manager.

Person Specification

Must be supported by a full membership to a professional body.

Experience of working in a fast paced accountancy practice with responsibility for varied caseload of clients.

Must be able to prepare accounts & tax returns for clients including Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies.

Experience of holing clients meetings and giving advice.

Experience using Xero, Quickbooks, DEXT and Free Agent (Highly Desirer able though not Essential)

Sound understanding and working knowledge of Tax.

Able to navigate Microsoft Packages.

Effective at Time Management.

Confidently be able to provide advice to clients and breaking down complex information to ensure all parties understand all information (written and verbally)

Proactively seek out information when needed from colleagues and clients in order to provide a seamless service.

Friendly and Professional with the ability to communicate at all levels.
