Job Description
Our client, a prominent player in the procurement supply chain sector, is seeking a dedicated Procurement Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. With flexible working arrangements, you will be based either in Stevenage or Bolton, contributing to the strategic sourcing and procurement activities within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and overseeing procurement activities to ensure value for money and compliance
Developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimise cost savings
Negotiating contracts with suppliers to secure favourable terms
Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring adherence to agreed terms
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives
Managing the procurement budget and tracking expenses
Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities and transactions
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in procurement management
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
Eligibility for SC clearance and at least a British passport; dual nationals can be considered
Effective verbal and written communication skills
