We are currently looking for an experienced HR Manager to join us at our M&S site in Thorncliffe. It’s a transformational time for our site and you will get the opportunity to truly shape and influence the operational direction, working with the senior leadership team to build and drive the HR people plan and GXO HR agenda.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, and the hours of work are Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00, however should you prefer there is the option to work 08:30 – 16:30 or 09:00 – 17:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £45,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

* Ensure that the site HR team provide a consultancy and advisory service to managers on matters of discipline, grievance and performance improvement, whilst embedding the GXO values and commitments

* Support the creation and the delivery of the people plan with key focus on colleague engagement

* Pro-actively develop line management capability through formal training, coaching and guidance on all HR related activities

* Encourage and recommend site communication and engagement strategies

* Facilitate harmonious employee relations with the site teams to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation

What you need to succeed at GXO:

* Proven experience in a similar HR management role, within a fast paced and dynamic blue-collar environment

* Excellent people management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships at all levels

* Be an effective influencer and communicator, able to positively engage and empower others

* Be adaptable and able to work within a rapidly changing environment

* CIPD Level 5 qualified/part qualified or studying towards would be beneficial
