Warwick – Hybrid Working
Up to £50,000 + Benefits
I am currently recruiting for an experienced Category Manager to join a well-known construction / building merchants based in the Warwick head office function (Hybrid working options available). This is a great opportunity for a strong trading focused Senior Buyer / Category Manager to join the team.
You will be responsible for supporting the Head of Buying to deliver commercially focused product ranges that meet both Departmental and Company targets, while maintaining a strategic business focus to ensure continued growth within the department. As a Category Manager within the renewables & hire sector some of your duties will include.
* Building & maintaining strong relationships with suppliers
* Own and deliver the renewables category plans to increase the departmental profit
* Negotiate and continually monitor / review Supplier Agreements
* Achieving profitable sales and margin growth across the category
* Ensuring selected product lines achieve season defined timeframes.
* Sourcing new suppliers & negotiating best cost prices
* Presenting reports, figures, and trend information to the Senior Management team
* Develop the Buying team to ensure they fulfil their individual career potential
Key requirements for the role.
* Proven previous experience as a Buyer / Senior Buyer within a fast-moving retail environment.
* Good level of education – degree desirable
* Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
* Able to adapt swiftly in a fast-paced market.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively at all levels
* Good working knowledge of budgets and managing conflicting projects.
* Excellent understanding of all MS Office products.
