A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Wilmslow is seeking an experienced Client Manager to join their team. The Role:

As a Client Manager, you will be responsible for managing relationships with a portfolio of clients, ensuring that all their accounting, tax, and business advisory needs are met. You will be a trusted advisor to your clients, delivering insights and solutions that help them grow their businesses while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing a portfolio of clients, acting as their main point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.

Preparing and reviewing financial statements, management accounts, and tax returns.

Providing business advisory services, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Overseeing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.

Supervising and mentoring junior staff, reviewing their work, and supporting their professional development.

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time, meeting client expectations and deadlines.

Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing proactive advice.

Assisting with onboarding new clients and contributing to business development activities.

Keeping up to date with changes in tax and accounting regulations, and ensuring compliance.

Liaising with HMRC and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients where necessary.

Requirements:

ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 4 years’ post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.

Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality service.

Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and management accounts.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Leadership experience, including supervising or mentoring junior staff.

Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.

A proactive, client-focused approach, with a passion for delivering value to businesses.
