Job Description

Join us as a Provisioning Manager for Natwest Boxed

Risk is firmly at the heart of our organisation, and that’s exactly where you’ll be when you join our Credit Provisioning team

Through strategic analysis and proactive provisioning, you’ll make an impact by minimising the impact of credit losses to ensure the safety, soundness and resilience of our operations

Whether you’re climbing the ladder to a senior finance position or simply looking to broaden your expertise, the experience, insights and opportunities ahead are sure to stand you in good stead

What you'll do

As our Provisioning Manager, you’ll be vital to the successful delivery of our strategy and purpose. Through in-depth analysis, strategic foresight, and your credit risk expertise, you’ll work to support NW Boxed across the spectrum of impairments related activities.

Day to day, you’ll:

Support NW Boxed on new client acquisitions and due diligence work

Manage monthly impairment processes and insight for NW Boxed alongside quarterly provision adequacy governance

Manage a monthly rolling forecast for NW Boxed impairments and supporting strategic forecasts and stress testing

Support the team lead to achieve team goals by leading on provisioning interactions with the business, finance and credit risk teams

Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders

Maintain a robust control environment in all impairment processes

The skills you'll need

With an aptitude for analytics and a questioning mindset, you’ll have the ability to identify patterns and analyse data to deliver clear conclusions about the information you’re working with.

You’ll also find yourself needing to bring others around to your way of thinking, so if you have the confidence and communication skills to be able to do that, then you’re well on your way to becoming a highly valued member of our team.

As well as this, you’ll need a good understanding of the banking industry, its risk management, and the regulatory requirements and have experience of working successfully with multiple stakeholders.

In addition, you’ll demonstrate:

Excellent analytical skills as well as previous experience with the development and practical application IFRS 9 provisioning and have a broad awareness of consumer credit risk practices

Strong project and task management skills, with the ability to work as a team and with stakeholders

The ability to explain technical subject matter to a non-technical audience

Experience in supporting and coaching businesses in a consultative role, supporting business development conversations and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to balance objectives

Preferable experience of portfolio acquisitions or due diligence work and the ability to be innovative and pragmatic when working under tight timescales
