The Genetics entity within the group is Dublin based and supports teams throughout Spain, Portugal, USA, Mexico, Peru, Chile, and China. They have 30 distribution centres globally and a commercial presence in 37 countries. Global revenue is currently around €800 Million p.a.
Opportunity:
Reporting to the Corporate Finance Director, you will be responsible for directing, managing, coordinating, and supervising the accounting and tax functions for this Irish subsidiary in line with company rules and procedures and ensuring compliance with corporate accounting standards. You will also be responsible for preparing reports and financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS, providing management with accurate, reliable, and timely financial statements to support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare financial statements in accordance with local statutory standards and IFRS for group consolidation.
* Collaborate with local accounting and tax analysts and the Shared Services Centre to ensure accurate transaction recording.
* Handle specific, partial, financial, legal, and annual financial audits with respect to the Irish office.
* Develop or restructure administrative processes to ensure effective document management and information flow.
* Ensure timely compliance with the company’s obligations to external entities, such as tax authorities and other regulatory bodies.
* Provide annual and monthly reports efficiently, to control entities.
* Offer guidance to local management and the corporate finance team on tax and financial issues.
* Lead all accounting and tax matters locally.
* Ensure adherence to company policies, regulations, and procedures, along with safety, quality, occupational health, and environmental standards to protect workers' health.
* Carry out additional duties within their area of expertise as assigned by Line Manager to support the achievement of departmental objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Accounting.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 4 years in similar roles
* Proficiency in English and Spanish
* Proficient in SAP FICO (other modules are advantageous), advanced Excel, and other office tools.
* Ability to work under pressure, proactive attitude, strong accounting knowledge, and self-management skills.
Remuneration:
Salary is in the range of 70-100k depending on experience level. A potential bonus is payable up to the equivalent amount of 4 months’ salary.
