Job Description
This role, based in either Hampshire or Gloucester, involves partnering with senior leadership to provide strategic resource management advice. You will influence, challenge, and build relationships at multiple levels to ensure the company's success in delivering complex and unique solutions to national security and defence clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Tactical Resource Management - allocate and manage resources to optimise performance, customer satisfaction, and employee morale, engaging stakeholders as necessary.
Onboarding and Mobilisation - engage new hires early to accelerate project mobilisation and ensure a positive employee experience.
Productive & Customer Funded Utilisation (CFU) Performance Management - maximise CFU and support other productive activities. Manage and correct issues related to clearances and under-performance.
Directorate Capacity Demand & Supply Management - act as the bridge between capacity planning and business unit operations, validating planning assumptions and mitigating risks.
Cross Directorate Optimisation & Escalation Management - facilitate employee mobility across business units and manage loan agreements and escalations.
Short to Medium Term Capacity Planning & Forecasting - assist with BU capacity models and optimise resource movement to drive profitability.
Rotation Management - own and execute BAU and quarterly rotation plans.
Strategic Resource Planning - support the definition and build for complex resourcing requests and scenario planning for large opportunities.
Deputise - act as a credible deputy for the Head of Resourcing when necessary.
Job Requirements:
Experience of operational resourcing in professional services or a similar matrix organisation
Experience of working in Defence and/or National Security industries
Significant experience in technology sectors including software development, cyber, AI & ML, data science, and systems engineering
Comfortable with complexity and ambiguous requirements
Recognised as an SME within the stakeholder community and lead on defining operational resourcing approaches
Experience with resource management tools such as PSA provision or dedicated tools (e.g., Profinda, Kantata, Retain)
Clearance: Eligible to achieve SC clearance
