Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join a team on a 1-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension. The role is based in North Wales and involves supporting the bioresources mechanical maintenance team in delivering planned maintenance across multiple sites in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Planned Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on various mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.

*

Asset Management: Work on a range of assets.

*

Fault Diagnosis and Repair: Identify mechanical issues during inspections and perform necessary repairs to maintain asset reliability and performance.

*

Reporting: Report findings to the maintenance supervisor or project lead, detailing the condition of assets post-maintenance and any additional work required to ensure continued operation.

*

Remedial Work: Where practicable, carry out identified remedial work.

*

Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including electrical maintenance staff, to ensure all tasks are completed within the scheduled timeframe, communicating with the planning team if additional time or resources are needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

*

Essential Qualifications:

* Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (e.g NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent).

*

Experience:

* Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, particularly within industrial or commercial environments.

* Experience working with the asset classes listed above is highly desirable.

*

Skills:

* Strong mechanical problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

* Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Additional Information:

*

Training and Equipment: The team will be provided with all necessary equipment, internal training, and inductions required to work safely

*

Contract Details: This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

*

Working Conditions: The position involves working 37 hours per week, with no overtime required.

*

Location: The role is based in North Wales, covering multiple sites within the region.
