We have a fantastic opportunity for a Category Manager to join our clients Procurement department in Staffordshire, to manage a set of categories on a global basis.
Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager, this is a leadership role is based in the corporate head office with control of a c£330m spend and a team of Senior Buyers and Buyers within non production procurement. With an individual focus on complex and priority categories. Ensuring the supply base can meet the business unit and regional expectations. Project managing supplier performance, cost, risk, the team and the international stakeholders. There is an opportunity to grow, with an internal development program. Also with the expansion programs with suppliers and the building of new manufacturing and distribution site in the USA, there is opportunity for international travel for supplier assessments.
What we are looking for.. An experience Category Manager, preferably CIPS Qualified, who has handled large expenditure, with global exposure. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred but, this is not essential, as long as you have exposure to a fast paced product / service, within a corporate head office environment.
The company are offering a salary of c£70-80k DOE, with a good benefits package including car allowance, bonus, 33 days holiday pension and health care programme. The working hours are 8:30-5 Monday to Thursday and Friday 8:30-4pm with flexibility of 1.5 hours each way, adjustment to start and finish times to suite home life. Relocation packages are available if you would be interested in moving to the West Midlands Area.
