Commercial Account Executive

Location: Portsmouth (Hybrid Working available after fully competent)

Salary: £36,000 - £46,000 DOE + Bonus

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Hours: Monday – Friday 9.0am -5.00pm

Our client, a growing, independent, insurance brokerage, based in Portsmouth, is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Account Executive with a keen eye for detail.

As a Commercial Account Executive, your role will be to manage a book of existing clients and develop a pipeline of new business in relation to commercial insurance, ensuring full FCA compliance, developing strong client relationships and delivering excellent customer service and insurance advice that the company is known for.

Main Responsibilities:

* Generate new leads and prospects

* Attend local business networking events

* Conduct client visits and make initial contacts

* Identify clients' needs and requirements

* Negotiate with and present to insurers to secure the most suitable coverage for clients

* Present insurance recommendations and coverage options to clients

* Close sales and ensure coverage is in place

* Secure cross-selling opportunities and obtain referrals

* Provide ongoing advice and support to clients

* Attend training sessions and maintain CPD records

Required Skills/Experience:

* GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade A – C.

* Obtained or working towards CII qualification

* 5+ years’ experience in an insurance role.

* Confident knowledge of commercial products: PI, D&O, Liabilities, combined products, contractors, motor fleet, motor trade, marine cargo, etc.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Good organisational skills and time management.
