Shop Manager Required - High Street Gift Shop

Well-established successful retail chain with stores & a strong e-commerce business

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: £12.00 - £12.50 per hour

40 Hour Week

Opening Hours: Winter 10am-6pm

Summer 10am - 8pm/9pm

Exciting opportunity with a solid growing company that is looking for an experienced retail Shop Manager to run a small gift & souvenir shop in central Edinburgh.

My client is looking for an experienced Shop Manager with at least 2 years experience to run the operation which sells an array of souvenir gifts, clothing & liquors.

The role will lead a small team.

Responsibilities:

* Day to day management of the shop - opening & closing, cashing up etc.

* Providing excellent customer service for all visitors - dealing with purchases, handling inquiries etc

* Supervise staff & train new recruits

* Maintain inventory levels & place orders for products

* Ensure that the shop is clean & organised and that products are displayed well & are constantly restocked

* Handle any customer queries or complaints

Experience Required:

* At least 2 years previous experience as a Shop Manager

* Organised with great attention to detail

* Punctual with great time management

* Good administrative skills - able to manage inventory, sales reports, cashing up etc.

* The ability to manage & motivate a small team

* Happy to be hands-on

Salary:

The hourly pay for this role is around £12.50 an hour (£26,000) plus various benefits.

The working week is 40 hours
