Senior Civil/Structural Engineer in Manchester - CV-Library

Our client is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team on a contract basis within the rail industry. This role involves backfilling for a current team member and focusing on temporary works, foundations, and structures. Initially tasked with specific civil projects, you will have the opportunity to expand into multi-discipline rail work after a few months.

Key Responsibilities:

Designing and reviewing civil engineering structures and foundations
Conducting assessments and providing solutions for temporary works
Ensuring all designs and structures comply with relevant rail industry standards and regulations
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful projects
Producing detailed design documentation and technical reports
Supporting the project lifecycle from concept to completion
Engaging with stakeholders to understand and deliver project requirements
Assuming a leadership role within the engineering team

Job Requirements:

Experience in civil and structural engineering, particularly within the rail sector
Proficiency in civil design engineering and relevant software, with a preference for Tedds
Strong understanding of temporary works, foundations, and structural engineering principles
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Effective communication and coordination abilities
Ability to work independently and within a team
Relevant degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification
