Job Description
Our client is looking for a structural engineer to join their team on a temporary contract lasting until June 2025. In this role you will provide professional surveying services and project management, particularly those involving structural, dimensional and topographical surveys and design solutions, to the City Council's stock of dwellings, buildings and land managed by Landlord Services. Ensure work carried out is of the highest quality and achieves value for money.
Key responsibilities:
Carry out structural surveys and provide detailed reports, assessments and design solutions, as required
Provide detailed design advice to project/programme managers/supervisors for major construction projects and programmes.
Defining scope of projects and programmes
Setting up appropriate project structures
Identifying and securing resource requirementsYou will need:
Degree in Structural engineering, diploma or HNC equivalent
Knowledge and understanding of the principles of project management and demonstrable project management skills
Practical experience in a role as "technical expert" in a building, surveying/ structural surveying or similar construction related environment providing design solutions.
Full UK drivers licence. This is a hybrid role but will require 3 days working in the office during the probation period and you will be required to attend on site meetings.
