Play Therapist - CYP trauma in Leigh - CV-Library

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Play Therapist to work within a specialist CYP trauma service based in Leigh and covering surrounding areas.

About the employer:

This employer delivers bespoke packages to children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma working with children's residential homes, local authorities, supported accommodation providers and educational settings. This employer also provides therapeutic support to organisations to help the development of their trauma informed practice.

Role snapshot:

The essence of the role will be working with external organizations, including schools and educational settings, offering consultations, reflective practice, direct therapeutic input, assessments, and training. The post holder will also provide psychological assessments, formulation and interventions to children, young people and their families.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help develop this therapy service contributing to the wider company’s centre of excellence in the field of developmental trauma and attachment.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – 3 – 5 days per week can be considered

Salary - £30,000 - £45,000 FTE

Experience required:

Due to the infancy of this new service, those applying will have experience of working with young people with complex presentations such as CAMHS, LAC or YOS. PTUK and PSA registration is mandatory.
