Our client is a solution led, specialist mortgage lender, offering a wide variety of later life mortgage products to the market, focussed on the borrowing needs of those aged 50+. They care passionately about their customers and are seeking a customer-centric, experienced underwriter to join their dedicated team.

Duties of the Underwriter will include:

* Managing a busy pipeline of applications from submission to completion.

* Having the ability to make sound discretionary lending decisions within an agreed risk appetite and Lending Policy.

* Exercising discretion on cases outside of standard lending policy.

* Obtain and retain a lending mandate.

The successful candidate will possess:

* Previous manual underwriting experience within secured lending, ideally mortgage but other products will be considered

* A customer focussed individual and a real team player, someone who can build effective working relations, often remotely

* Attention to detail and a positive attitude to constantly learning

* Ability and motivation to commute to Central Glasgow 3 days a week

If you are a detail orientated, manual secured loan underwriter who likes to work in a relatively small team, then please apply now, we look forward to hearing from you
