Job Description

Anderson Knight is currently recruiting a Supply Chain Manager on a full-time permanent basis for one of our clients based in Glasgow.

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing and optimising all aspects of the supply chain process, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and supplier relationships. This role requires strategic planning, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement supply chain strategies to meet business objectives and improve efficiency.

* Oversee the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management.

* Manage logistics and distribution operations to ensure timely delivery of products.

* Monitor and control inventory levels to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.

* Analyse supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings.

* Collaborate with internal departments, such as sales, production, and finance, to align supply chain activities with business goals.

* Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers and service providers.

* Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

* Lead and develop the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.

* Prepare and present reports on supply chain performance, metrics, and initiatives.

Qualifications:

* Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).

* Strong leadership and team management abilities.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

* Professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is highly desirable.
