Job Role: Business Support Assistant Contracts & Commissioning

Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary : £12 per hour

Hours: Hybrid Monday to Friday (Apply online only) - 2 days in office

Job Purpose: Provide essential administrative support to the professional team(s), enhancing their efficiency and helping to build a cohesive team identity. Serve as a central communication link for the public and other professional agencies.
Principal Responsibilities:

Deliver general administrative support, including photocopying, filing, scanning, organising meetings, and taking minutes. Develop and utilise standard letters, pre-formatted documents, and PowerPoint presentations to ensure effective service delivery. Maintain and update service user records as required.

Handle incoming communications, including telephone calls and emails. Screen messages, decide on appropriate actions, and manage responses to ensure timely and accurate information flow. Facilitate effective liaison by gathering and distributing relevant information to team members.

Sort and prioritise incoming correspondence and distribute it to team members. Organise and assist in business process reviews and projects to support managers in planning and implementing efficient services.

Respond positively to feedback, identify areas for improvement in systems and processes, and refer suggestions to supervisors or managers. Maintain quality standards and meet service needs.

Support team operations by ensuring activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. This includes ordering supplies, equipment, and other items necessary for staff to perform their duties.
By streamlining these responsibilities, the Administrative Support Specialist helps the team function smoothly, maintains business levels, and ensures professional and effective communication both internally and externally.
