Job Description

Our client is looking for a Restaurant Host to join their team.


· To provide a professional and courteous welcome within the restaurant and across the ground floor of the hotel

· To maximize the business opportunity by optimizing the reservations and table allocation

· Ensure consistently outstanding service to guests and maximize business potential

· Ability to communicate information to the kitchen and restaurant to help deliver exceptional service.


Host tasks:

· To greet, welcome & provide hosting services to create a seamless journey and outstanding Brand experience for hotel guests

· Host and manage guest arrival and seating: welcome, meet, greet

· Assist guests with their coats.

· Ensure guest table is clean and prepared prior to service

· Provide clean and up to date menus

· Coordinate reservations & table allocations to optimize business opportunities & maximise guest satisfaction

· Answer all telephone calls in a courteous and friendly manner within three rings

· Display thorough knowledge of special events, promotions, hotel information and other F&B outlets.

· Explain and actively sell products and facilities, both on the telephone and in direct guest contact

· Take and process all reservations as necessary in accordance with the Restaurant Reservations and Hotel policy

· Maintain all files for past and future bookings & refer special requirements to the Manager

· Assist with service as required

· To perform all reasonable tasks designated by the Manager

· To act as a team player, by proactively seeking information & providing clear & effective communications with all team members

· This role holds specific responsibility for money, you will be required to handle cash & perform other billing transactions


· Previous experience in a luxury hotel environment

· Experience within an operational role

· Knowledge of food & beverage

· Excellent written and verbal English

· Immaculate presentation

· Administration experience and ability to use Microsoft Office packages
