Small Works Project Manager

Main Contractor

North East – Teesside

Salary - £50 - £55k + car allowance

The company

Inside Construction have been appointed to recruit a Small Works Project Manager for a main contractor who specialise in commercial refurbishment solutions. They work predominately in the public sector (healthcare) offering full turnkey building solutions.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to take overall operational responsibility for project. It is the Project Manager’s responsibly to ensure projects are ran safely and delivered on time and within budget. To work closely with the client to ensure expectations are met and communication runs smoothly throughout the full project lifecycle. This role will involve multiple project management (small works) on projects from 30k – 2m in a live healthcare environment.

Reporting into the Construction Manager you will manage the client and site operations including the management of directly employed trades and labour operatives.

Key responsibilities

* Asta / power project programming

* Microsoft Word in compilation of reports and then presenting

* Material procurement

* Liaising with the client and always promoting the brand of the business.

* Managing quality.

* Answering technical queries

* Closing out defects/snagging

* Client/project handover

The person

This opportunity would suit an experienced Project Manager/Senior Site Manager or Contracts Manager who can take full responsibility for multiple small works projects. It’s essential you have industry experience in a similar role. Our client looks for client facing managers who are well suited to working in a live project environment. You will be managing multiple projects so it's important you can absorb complex information and manage your time accordingly. The role will involve site visits, so a driving license is essential. Experience in refurbishment in healthcare projects is desirable.

The package

Salary will be between £50-55k plus car allowance/company car. The company offers a generous benefits package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company bonus, private healthcare and 7% pension contributions.
