Warehouse Operative - With Sideloader / Counterbalance in Milton Keynes - CV-Library

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative for our client based in North Milton Keynes. This will be an initial temporary contract which will become permanent after 12 weeks.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm rotational shift pattern. 40 hours paid per week.
Pay Rate: £11.80 per hour
Salary once permanent: £24,544 per annum + shift allowance of up to £2,808 per annum

As the Warehouse operative role, you will be picking material from the racks for customer orders. You may also be required to load or unload vehicles and scan away to a rack location whilst adhering to quality and safety procedures. Working on a rotating shift basis you will ensure a positive handover for the following shift to exceed customer demands

Main duties will include:

* Preparing customers' orders

* Driving forklift trucks when authorised to gather material for the jobs and record all information on job sheets

* Ensuring we have warehouse traceability

* Use appropriate measuring equipment

* Loading and unloading lorries

* Racking, stacking and identification of incoming stock

* Checking of incoming and outgoing deliveries for quality and quantity

Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

* Valid Forklift Truck Licence (Side Loader / 4 way)

* Good organisational skills

* Reliability and dependability

* Ability to meet the physical demands of the job

* Self-motivated

* Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks

* IT competent for use of scanning system

Desirable Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

* Counterbalance forklift trained, ideally 4 way/ sideloader
