Interim Financial Controller  |  Inside IR35 |  Wirral area   |  Circa £350/£600 per day

Axon Moore are working with a high growth, multi-site manufacturing business with HO operations in the Wirral area.

They are looking for a qualified interim Financial Controller to join the team immediately to cover a transition period. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrable experience in a fast paced, multi-site environment and have previously worked in either a manufacturing or engineering business. 

You will be responsible for mentoring and coaching a small team of accountants and making improvements to existing processes to maintain the financial integrity of the business. Plus ensuring and overseeing the preparation of timely, accurate management information to support business strategy and decision making.

Key Responsibilities:

Ownership of monthly reporting including variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliation and reports for full MI
Reviewing and analysing financial information against budget and reporting deviations to plan.
Ownership of team performance for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and production of management accounts.
Support in developing financial policies, standards and controls within the business.
Managing cash flow and working capital within planned levels
Identify cost reduction opportunities in fixed costs including operational efficiencies
Ownership of budget, year end and forecasting for area of responsibilities.
To carry out other duties reasonably requested by the Finance Director which fall within the remit on the role and the capabilities of the post holder.
Support the Head Office finance team in recurring reports and group reports, as and when required.
Provision of ad hoc information as required
Person Specification:

We are looking for an experienced qualified interim to steady the ship and make improvements. You must be able to work in a very fast paced multisite environment and be accustomed to improving processes.

4+ years of senior/management roles within finance
Experience of working in manufacturing environment
Strong excel and systems skills
A qualified accountant with a technically strong accounts background
Multi-site experience would be beneficial
