Purchasing specialist, £43,884, Derby

Monday – Friday with up to 2 days work from home per week (Once training and probation complete)

ATA are working with the world’s largest Automotive group, Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK) who are looking to add a purchasing specialist to their fantastic finance team in Burnaston, Derby.  TMUKs world class manufacturing facility is responsible for building the Toyota Corolla and produces around 130,000 per annum, supplying to the UK, Western and Central Europe. This rare opportunity sits within the group’s finance department where you will join a team of 5 purchasing specialist responsible for one of the 5 manufacturing shops.

TMUK will consider candidates from all industries and sectors, however, are particularly interested in meeting with professionals from the manufacturing industry.

About the role

As a purchasing specialist you will be responsible for the following;

Price and contract negotiations for key goods and services.
Research and evaluate areas of opportunity to improve quality, delivery, and cost.
Working alongside TMUK continuous improvement mentality, developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency.
Supplier resourcing of key critical production spares and consumables.
Creating and self-management of KPIs.
Utilising the Oracle system
About you

To be considered for the purchasing specialist role at TMUK you should be/have the following:

Experience working within a buying/purchasing capacity.
Contract and suppler management experience.
The ability to communicate with various suppliers, shop floor employees and multi-disciplinary teams.
Experience using Oracle system (Or similar)
Ideally holding or studying for a CIPS membership.
Able to work in the UK with no restrictions.
