Lead H&S Manager- Dublin

We are assisting an established and rapidly growing engineering and construction services contractor in their search for an experienced & proactive Lead H&S Manager to oversee the development, implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies, procedures and practices to promote a safe working environment. As a Lead H&S Manager, you ideally have strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of health & safety regulations and encourage the safety culture.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

Establish, implement, and maintain thorough health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure health & safety compliance and practices.

Lead regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards conditions in the workplace and come up with reliable solutions.

Promote and implement strategies to reduce risks and hazards, including engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
*
Oversee the investigation of workplace incidents/accidents to determine root causes and prevent recurrence.
*
Ensure that all incidents are properly documented, reported to regulatory authorities as required, and investigated in a timely and thorough manner.
*
Knowledge in up-to-date health and safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to the industry and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.

Assist in preparation of safety documents and ensure sub- contractor documents are accessible on site.
*
Assist/develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures together with the site management team to address potential workplace emergencies, such as fires, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.

Manage regular reports for senior management on health and safety performance, trends, and areas for improvement.
*
Attend meetings and contribute input to the best of your knowledge.
*
Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health or related field.
*
10+ years’ experience with at least 3 years senior role on pharmaceutical projects.
*
Strong and updated knowledge in H&S regulations, standards & codes.
*
Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
