Job Description

My client is one of the biggest FMCG companies in the West Midlands and they are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join them on a permanent basis. With over 30 years established in producing specialised food for both the UK and overseas, my client is looking for a skilled and experienced individual to join them. You will be expected to maintain all manufacturing plant, equipment and facilities in good working order. Improve equipment reliability by increasing the mean time between failure (MTBF) while reducing the mean time to repair (MTTR).

Please note the hours for the position are listed as below
This is predomidently a day shift role, but you will be required to work nights 1 week in 5.

Week 1 Days: Monday - Friday 6:00am-3:00pm
Week 2 Days: Monday - Friday 1:00pm-10:00pm
Nights worked 1 in 5 weeks: Monday - Thursday 7:00pm -6:00am

Main Duties:

Carry out repairs to all types of plant and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
Assist in the development of planned preventative maintenance schedules (PPM).
Carry out PPM schedules as necessary and planned works orders as required.
Assist visiting specialist engineers when necessary.
Report breakdown root cause, equipment faults and concerns to line Manager.
Perform troubleshooting to solve minor repair issues.
Make full use of CMMS
Plan/prioritize workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time
Assist in the meeting of daily production plan.
Fill in job tickets/ CMMS on completion of work accurately and in a timely manner.
Typical example of work would be to respond to maintenance request for equipment fault, diagnose fault, repair and return equipment to operational service. All work to be carried out operating in a safe and efficient manner. (a process of dynamic risk assessments operated).
Identify spares requirements, log usage and aid in control
Assist in the moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment.

Written communication clear and informative with good spelling and grammar, numerical data concisely and accurately reported
