Cleaner
Tyneside Foyer and Hawthorn House, Newcastle upon Tyne
Permanent, full time (37.5hrs per week)
£12.00 per hour (Salary of £23,464) with great benefits including Health Cash Plan

Want to help create a clean, tidy home for vulnerable people? At the Tyneside Foyer we house customers with customers who are aged 16-24 and are at risk of homelessness. Hawthorn House supports 10 customers in the main building and 25 customers within the community. Around 80% of our customers have a Mental Health diagnosis, and you’ll be at the heart of ensuring they have a homely place to live. The Tyneside Foyer is a large building made up of 52 single person en-suite bedrooms (which are fully furnished), shared communal facilities and kitchens. We have 20 fully furnished self-contained flats and 8 units of accommodation out in the community. Hawthorn House is a beautiful 10 bed listed building situated in Elswick with shared facilities, along with 25 units of accommodation within the community which are single person occupancy.
Typical day as a Cleaner
You’ll work within our friendly team, who support our customers, to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our property including communal areas
You’ll prepare void rooms ready for our next customer to move in
You’ll ensure our office has a general spruce up when it’s needed

You bring
Some experience of general cleaning duties

You’ll need an enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
