Job Description

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Engineer to join our highways project team. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency throughout all stages of construction.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day site activities, including setting out, surveying, and monitoring progress.
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Collaborate with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimise construction processes.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to site activities, progress, and resources.
Provide technical support and guidance to site staff, including junior engineers and technicians.
Proactively identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost-saving measures.
Foster a positive and collaborative working environment conducive to achieving project objectives.Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Proven experience working on highways or large infrastructure projects.
Proficiency in surveying techniques and equipment, including total stations and GPS.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Sound problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Familiarity with relevant software applications, such as AutoCAD and MS Office.
