The Role

As an Temporary Works Engineer, you will be responsible for the following:
Assisting the Temporary works Design Manager with ensuring that all temporary works designs in the section of works assigned are undertaken in accordance with the correct process, the appropriate standards, and the scheme design requirements.
Assisting the Temporary Works Design Manager with ensuring the Temporary Works Design requests are managed from inception through to AFC status to meet the delivery teams programme.
Assist with ensuring that any comments from the site teams and Temporary Works Designers related to Temporary Works designs are adequality addressed.
Review of commercial quotes from Temporary Works Design houses, in collaboration with commercial team, to ensure budget is adhered to.
Assist with co-ordination of all temporary works design solutions for a site between the site team, TW designers, permanent works designers, external stakeholders, and other key interfaces.
Assist in ensuring that designs are undertaken in accordance with CDM regulations 2015, through the safe by design approach, Network Rail Standards and all other recognised standards.
Take part in specific production meetings where required.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Alliance policies and processes.

Who are we looking for?
Suitable qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
Experience in design and/or engineering management, temporary works, and delivery of major infrastructure projects
A member of a recognised professional body working towards a professional qualification
Skills and behavioural Competencies experience on overseeing Temporary Works Design Management and Implementation for large projects

*Please note, the position will be based in Manchester for the first few months and then transition to Huddersfield
